Chris Cook

Pastor

Pastor Chris loves people and Robertsdale! She has served as a minister in the Alabama-West Florida Conference for the past 32 years and has been an ordained Elder for 28 of those years. Her passion is serving Christ and making a difference in this world.

Pastor Chris went to Asbury Seminary for her MDiv., Auburn University for a MA in Communication and a DMin from Asbury, Orlando. She invites everyone to a great big “Amen” and maybe a little “War Eagle!”

Wes Anderson

Youth & Family Pastor

Wes Anderson has served RUMC as Youth & Family Pastor for four years. In addition to leading the church’s youth, Wes gets to work closely with the preschool and children’s ministries as well. Wes loves hip hop music, basketball, reading, and writing, has a heart for mission, and enjoys helping people see Jesus more clearly. Wes graduated from Huntingdon College as a double major in Communication Studies and Religion. Wes has been married to his beautiful wife Charsy for almost nine years, and together they have two children, daughter Laila, and son Malakai. Wes and his family love Robertsdale and are thankful for the way that RUMC loves them well.

Jessica McKinney

Children’s Director

Jessica joined RUMC staff in August 2021. She currently resides in Robertsdale. She holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Troy University. She felt her calling in life change upon diagnosis cancer with their middle son. The opportunity to help young children including my own grow their relationship with God has been a blessing to witness.

Jessica is married to her high school sweetheart, Fletcher and they have 3 boys, Eli, Cullen, and Liam. She enjoys Alabama football, the Atlanta Braves, traveling and camping in their travel trailer, video gaming, the beach, and watching her family succeed in their endeavors.

Amanda Coggins

Preschool Director

Mrs. Amanda Coggins has been with RUMC Preschool since August of 2014 and has served as the director for our program since October of 2017.

Mrs. Amanda has several years of experience teaching all ages of preschool in addition to her administrative service. As well, she enjoys serving in other areas of family and children’s ministry, and loves to see families seek Jesus.

Mrs. Amanda has been married to her wonderful husband for almost twenty five years. They have two awesome sons, and have an adorable 1 year old grandson.

When Mrs. Amanda isn’t in a classroom, she enjoys being at the beach, but mostly prefers boating along our beautiful coastal waterways. She also loves spending time with family and friends as often as possible.

Here at RUMC Preschool, Mrs. Amanda thoroughly enjoys great conversations and visits with all of you, and especially loves opportunities to pray for each of our families.
